Dragonflies symbolise growth, transformation, strength, hope, love and self-actualisation. Empathic Counselling provides a non-judgemental space for adults to grow and transform through integrative and evidence-based trauma therapy
Welcome to Empathic Counselling! Empathic Counselling is a counselling private practice that supports adults who have experienced trauma, with a special interest in adults who have experienced childhood trauma or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Empathic Counselling provides a safe and non-judgemental space, taking a holistic and non-pathologising approach with clients. Rather than focusing on the diagnostic criteria associated with trauma, the focus is on how the emotional wounds from the past, are still impacting on life in the present. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to trauma therapy, so counselling appointments are tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client, integrating a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches that address the surface level of presenting symptoms, as well as the unseen emotional wounds from unresolved trauma.
